Last year, I had my first competition, and I knew right away that I wanted Monica's team to do my makeup and hair. I'd already seen so many beautiful results on Instagram! I knew right away that she's amazing at what she does! It was a lot less stressful for me, so not having to worry about that! I could ask her anything by email; she even asked for photos of my hair and other things and sent examples of what I wanted, so she had a good idea of who I was as a person! Questions like how long I'd be there for makeup, where I'd be, and what time I'd be there were always clear to me well in advance, which significantly reduces stress for the athlete! From the moment I sat in her chair, she immediately knew what would best suit my look and bikini, so I could just enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful end result! I immediately had 100% confidence in her and just let her do her thing! The end result was exactly what I wanted! I would recommend her to everyone; she's the best at what she does!

In my first season of Bodybuilding I did my first makeup with Monica and I could not recognise myself when I looked in the mirror. I absolutely loved it! Afterwards, I booked the full season with her and I was happy every time. Her attitude is professional and she always makes you feel glamorous. Her friendlyness on such an important day for a competitor is priceless. Feeling like a queen is a guarantee!

On the day of my competition, I was absolutely thrilled with both my makeup and hair. It's already incredibly stressful because it's THE big day, but the moment you sit in Monica's chair, you truly relax and the tension melts away. She looks at your overall look (hair color, skin type, your chosen bikini) to create a cohesive look. While you're being prepped for the stage, you have a pleasant chat with her. When you're finished, she goes over your look with you and makes any minor adjustments. If anything goes wrong along the way, you can always come back and have it fixed in no time! You also get a small jar of your lipstick color so you can always touch it up yourself. Super convenient! I definitely recommend MonicaStageMakeup for a relaxing moment before the competition and to shine on stage!

Monica helped us at a crucial time. My teenage daughter's eyebrows had fallen out due to alopecia, and we were looking for creative solutions. Monica came to our home and connected with my daughter in a cheerful and encouraging way. With so much patience, she taught my daughter how to draw her own eyebrows. We laughed and practiced until she felt confident she could do it herself. It was divine to see how much fun they had. The gentleness Monica showed in helping my daughter along. Monica did my wedding makeup. We started with a trial session to determine my look. It was a very enjoyable and fun afternoon with my two bridesmaids. Monica puts you at ease, asks the right questions, and even makes suggestions. She's a wonderful person. The end result was very beautiful, striking, and still natural. But it could have been a bit more relaxed for me; I'm not used to just BB cream, eyeliner, and mascara anymore. We had a follow-up session, where the finishing touches were added. Together, we found a perfect match. My dress and hairstyle were already chosen, so my wedding look was complete. The products and techniques she uses are also of excellent quality. On my wedding day, she assured me that no touch-ups would be necessary. I could always call her, but that wasn't necessary. My makeup was perfect all day, evening, and night. I didn't have to do anything more than touch up my powder and apply some lipstick. The last time I had the opportunity to attend a wedding, Monica was my number one go-to for my makeup. I will definitely do that again in the future. I have nothing but praise for Monica Bernaerts, Makeup Artist.
